Magnesia Lainco 200 mg/ml Oral Suspension 220 ml

It is a medicine with laxative action that has been specifically formulated for the symptomatic treatment of occasional constipation, thanks to its formula containing magnesium hydroxide.

It comes in a 220 ml bottle of oral suspension.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.

Take 5-10 ml a day, either as a single dose or in separate doses, depending on the patient's needs.

Do not use Magnesia Lainco Oral Suspension:

• In children under 12 years of age.

• In case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

• In cases of abdominal obstruction, appendicitis, severe renal failure, electrolyte imbalance, gastrointestinal or rectal bleeding, ulcerative colitis, colostomy, diverticulitis, ileostomy, chronic diarrhoea.

• Control in patients with cardiac disease, hepatic insufficiency, debilitated or elderly patients.

• Patients with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI) should not take/receive this medicine, glucose or galactose absorption problems, or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.

• Caution in concomitant intake of: Antidiabetics (chlorpropamide, glibenclamide, glipizide, tolbutamide), Dicoumarol, Levodopa, Sulphamides, Atenolol, Folic acid, AnticolinéAnticholinergics or other drugs with anticholinergic activity, Quinolones (ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, pefloxacin, enoxacin), Histamine H2-receptor antagonists, Phosphates, Sulfonamides, Atenol, Folic acidH2-histamine receptor antagonists, Oral phosphates, Iron salts, Tetracyclines (chlortetracycline, doxycycline, tetracycline, Digoxin, phenytoin, captopril, ketoconazole, ketoconazole, ketoconazole, ketoconazole, ketoconazole).na, captopril, ketoconazole, phenothiazines (especially oral chlorpromazine), penicillamine, indomethacin, chlordiazepoxide, alendronic acid and tiludronic acid. • In pregnancy and lactation, consult a doctor before taking this medicine.

Like all medicines, Magnesia Lainco Oral Suspension may cause side effects. Specifically, the following have been observed: diarrhoea, abdominal pain and hypermagnesaemia (very rare).

The active substance of Magnesia Lainco Oral Suspension is magnesium hydroxide. 200 mg magnesium hydroxide is contained in each ml of oral solution. The other excipients are:microcrystalline cellulose-carmellosesodium, xanthan gum, carmellose sodium, saccharin sodium, orange flavouringdica, orange flavouring, domiphen bromide, sorbitol (E-420), silicon defoamer (purified water, polydimethylsiloxane, sorbitan monostearate, polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan, amorphous silica, benzoic acid (E-210)) and purified water.

It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids throughout the treatment to facilitate the action of the drug.

Avoid chronic use. In cases of chronic constipation of non-organic origin, improvement can be achieved by following the following guidelines: a diet rich in fibre, adequate water intake, physical exercise and regulation of defecation habits.
