Oral suspension for the symptomatic relief of heartburn and acidity in adults and those over 12 years of age.

It is a medicine considered to be an antacid, responsible for neutralising excess acidity in the stomach thanks to its formula containing almagate. Its use treats and relieves the symptoms of heartburn and acidity.
It is intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Use the measuring cup to measure the exact dose, which can be taken directly or dissolved in a little water.
The recommended dosage is 7.5 ml of Almax three times a day, preferably 30 minutes to 1 hour after each main meal. If required, a dose may be taken before bedtime, bearing in mind that the maximum amount of 8 g per day should not be exceeded.
Do not take ALMAX 1g:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy to almagate or to any of the excipients present in this medicine.
If you suffer from Alzheimer's disease.
If you have undiagnosed gastrointestinal bleeding, haemorrhoids, fluid retention (oedema), liver complications during pregnancy (toxaemia gravidarum) or diarrhoea.
Almax 1 g oral suspension may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, as it is an active substance with low intestinal absorption, such effects are rare. If they do occur, it has been observed that its use may cause episodes of diarrhoea, which disappear when treatment is discontinued.
Each 7.5 ml of Almax oral suspension contains 1 gram of almagate as the main active substance. The other excipients are: microcrystalline cellulose (E-460), carmellose sodium, calcium saccharin (E-954), chlorhexidine diacetate, peppermint essence, sorbitol solution (E-420) 70 % non-crystallisable, simethicone emulsion (water), simethicone (water), sodium carmellose (water).(purified water, simethicone, polyoxyethylene sorbitan tristearate (E-436), methylcellulose (E-461), polyethylene glycol stearate, glycerol monostearate (E-471), xanthan gum (E-415), benzoic acid (E-280), glycerol monostearate (E-280), glycerol monostearate (E-472), xanthan gum (E-472), polyethylene glycol stearate (E-472).benzoic acid (E-210), sulphuric acid (E-513), sorbic acid (E-200)) and purified water.
This drug is presented as an oral suspension, which has a yellowish-white colour and has a pleasant minty taste and smell.
It is very important to shake the bottle before use and to use the dosage cup included with the product to take the correct dose.
