Normogastrol 14 Tablets

It is a medicine specially formulated for the short-term treatment of gastric reflux symptoms.

It comes in a pack of 14 tablets.

Suitable for use in adults over 18 years of age.

The recommended dose is 1 tablet per day.

Do not use Normogastrol:

• In case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

• Do not take together with atazanavir.

• In combination with other proton pump inhibitors or H2 antagonists.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

• Consult a doctor if: unwanted weight loss, anaemia, gastrointestinal bleeding, dysphagia, persistent vomiting or vomiting of blood, previous gastric ulcer or gastrointestinal surgery, ongoing symptomatic treatment for dyspepsia, or if you are taking atazanavir with other proton pump inhibitors or H2 antagonists.or heartburn for 4 or more weeks, jaundice, liver failure or liver disease, severe illness affecting general well-being, over 55 years of age and have new or recently changed symptoms.

Like all medicines, Normogastrol may cause side effects, as listed below:

• Benign fundic gland polyps, headaches, dizziness, vertigo, nausea/vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal distension, dry mouth, abdominal pain, rash, pruritus, sleep disturbances....

Normogastrol contains 20 mg of pantoprazole (as pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate) as the active substance.

The other excipients are:

• Core: sodium carbonate, mannitol, sodium carmellose, sodium starch glycolate (gluten-free potato starch), magnesium stearate, colloidal silica.

• Coating: Propylene glycol, Iron oxide yellow (E-172), Titanium dioxide (E-171), Hypromellose, Triethylcitrate, Metracrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1).

The tablets of this medicine should be taken with some liquid, before a meal.

Discontinue treatment when symptoms disappear, but do not prolong treatment for more than 2-4 weeks. If there is no improvement during this time, seek medical advice.

This medicine does not give immediate relief.
