Emulsion for the symptomatic relief of occasional constipation in adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age.

It is a laxative medicine belonging to the group of so-called stool softeners that works by lubricating, softening the stool to facilitate its evacuation.
It is therefore used for the occasional relief of constipation.
Suitable for adults and children from 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Adults and over 12 years of age: take 15 ml before bedtime. If necessary, take again in the morning 2 hours before or 2 hours after breakfast.
Children from 6 to 12 years of age: take 5 ml before bedtime. If necessary, repeat the intake in the morning 2 hours before or 2 hours after breakfast.
Do not use Emuliquen Simple Oral Solution:
In children under 6 years of age.
If you are allergic to any of its components.
If you suffer from intestinal obstruction, paralytic ileus, appendicitis or intestinal perforation, gastrointestinal bleeding or inflammatory bowel disease.
If you have haemorrhoids or anal fissures.
Like all medicines, Emuliquen Simple Emulsion may cause side effects:
Frequent: loss of water, electrolytes and potassium which may cause muscle or heart disturbances.
Very frequent: dehydration, loss of water-soluble vitamins (vitamin A, D, E and K), anal loss of liquid paraffin, abdominal pain.
The active substance of Emuliquen Simple Oral Solution is liquid paraffin. Each ml of oral emulsion contains 478.26 mg of liquid paraffin. The excipients are: lichen extract, glycerol (E-422), gum arabic, vanillin, benzoic acid (E-210) and purified water.
Emuliquen Simple is presented as an oral emulsion in a 250 ml glass bottle.
While taking this medicine, it is necessary to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water to avoid dehydration.
It should be taken orally dissolved in a drink such as juice, water or milk and should be taken in the evening to allow defecation to occur the following morning. Do not take this medicine lying down.
If defecation does not occur within 12 hours of taking this medicine or if symptoms persist after 6 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor.
