It is a herbal medicine in tablet form with a laxative action that stimulates the movement of the colon, as well as the processes of fluid secretion, to promote the evacuation of faeces when occasional constipation problems appear.
Intended for the relief of occasional constipation in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Take 1 tablet a day with a glass of water, preferably before going to bed, as the laxative effect will normally appear in the morning the following day. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 1 tablet per day. May be taken during the evening meal if digestive discomfort is noted.
Do not take Zeninas pills:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to Cape Aloe (Aloe ferox), Cascara Sagrada (Rhamnus purshiamus) or any of the other components included in this medicine.
If you have appendicitis.
If you suffer from intestinal problems such as haemorrhoids, intestinal obstruction, bleeding in the rectum, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal atony or severe dehydration.
If you have congestive heart failure.
If you have severe liver or kidney disease.
As with all medicines,Zenin pills can cause side effects, but this does not mean that everyone will suffer from them. In this case, such effects are of a mild and transitory nature. Specifically, the following have been observed:
Digestive and gastrointestinal discomfort.
Abdominal pain, belching, colic and intestinal cramps.
Coloured urine (unimportant, as this is due to the elimination of the components of this medicine).
Zeninas pills contain the following active ingredients: approximately 51.72 mg - 92.59 mg of Aloe Ferox powder (equivalent to 15 mg of hydroxyanthracene heterosides), 60 mg - 78.95 mg of standardised dry extract of Rhamnus purshianus (equivalent to 15 mg of hydroxyanthracene heterosides). DER (4-6:1). Ethanol 60% v/v. The other excipients in the core are: liquorice, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silica, magnesium stearate and purified water. As for the coating agents, they are: Vivacoat PA, containing hypromellose, polydextrose, talc, iron oxide red, ferrous-ferric oxide black, titanium oxide, polyethylene glycol 3350, iron oxide yellow and indigotine DYE.
Zenin laxative pills are indicated for occasional constipation, as they facilitate the evacuation of faeces by stimulating the secretion of liquids.
They are taken orally, accompanied by plenty of water to facilitate the laxative effect the following morning. They should be taken in the evening, one hour after the evening meal, preferably rich in foods with fibre to alleviate possible gastrointestinal discomfort.
