It is a medicine with a laxative action thanks to its combination of plant extracts, which stimulate intestinal activity by promoting the evacuation of faeces.
It is indicated for the relief of occasional constipation.
Suitable for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Take 1 tablet after dinner, before going to bed.
Do not use Fave de Fuca:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy to any of the components present in this medicine.
If you suffer from intestinal obstruction, paralytic ileus, appendicitis or intestinal perforation, digestive haemorrhage or inflammatory bowel disease.
As with all medicines on the market, Fave de fuca may cause side effects:
Frequent: abdominal pain and discomfort, spasms, meteorism (gas in the belly).
Very common: vomiting, nausea, dizziness, diarrhoea, red-yellow-brown urine may appear.
The active ingredients of Fave de Fuca are:
56.56 - 80, 808 mg of Rhamnus frangula L (frangula) bark extract, corresponding to 13.13 mg of glucofrangulin calculated as Glucofrangulin A. Extraction solvent: Ethanol 60% V/V
103-58.9 mg of Rhamnus purshianus D.C (cascara sagrada) bark extract, corresponding to 15.31 mg of hydroxyanthracene heterosides expressed as Cascaroside A, Extraction solvent: Ethanol 60% V/V ;
61.36 mg of extract of Fucus vesiculosus L., seaweed, (1.5-3:1) containing between 6.1 and 36.8 micrograms of iodine.
The other excipients are: Talc, glucose monohydrate, lactose monohydrate, sodium stearate, sucrose, gum arabic, iron oxide (E 172), liquid glucose, carnauba wax, sodium benzoate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), propylene glycol (E 1520), ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 214), sodium hydroxide.
Fave de Fuca comes in brown oval tablets that are commonly used to treat the symptoms of occasional constipation. If defecation does not occur within 6-8 hours of taking the medicine, or if symptoms persist after 4 days of treatment, consult a doctor.
