It is a medicine specially formulated for the treatment of occasional constipation and hyperacidity of the stomach.
It comes in a 260 ml syrup form.
Suitable for use in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.
Take 5-10 ml per day, either as a single dose or in several doses, depending on the patient's needs.
Do not use Magnesia Cinfa 200 mg:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
In patients with abdominal obstruction, appendicitis, severe renal failure, electrolyte imbalance, gastrointestinal or rectal bleeding, ulcerative colitis, colostomy, diverticulitis, ileostomy, chronic diarrhoea.
Control in patients with cardiac disease, hepatic insufficiency, debilitated or elderly patients.
Patients with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI) should not take/receive this medicine, glucose or galactose absorption problems, or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.
Caution in concomitant intake of: Antidiabetics (chlorpropamide, glibenclamide, glipizide, tolbutamide), Dicoumarol, Levodopa, Sulphonamides, Atenolol, Folic acid, AnticolinéAnticholinergics or other drugs with anticholinergic activity, Quinolones (ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, pefloxacin, enoxacin), Histamine H2-receptor antagonists, Phosphates, Sulfonamides, Atenolol, Folic acidH2-histamine receptor antagonists, Oral phosphates, Iron salts, Tetracyclines (chlortetracycline, doxycycline, tetracycline, Digoxin, phenytoin, captopril, ketoconazole, ketoconazole, ketoconazole, ketoconazole, ketoconazole).na, captopril, ketoconazole, phenothiazines (especially oral chlorpromazine), penicillamine, indomethacin, chlordiazepoxide, alendronic acid and tiludronic acid. Like all medicines, Magnesia Cinfa 200 mg may cause side effects such as those listed below: diarrhoea, abdominal pain and hypermagnesaemia (very rare).
The active substance in Magnesia Cinfa Oral Suspension is magnesium hydroxide. Each ml of oral suspension contains 200 mg magnesium hydroxide. The other excipients are: microcrystalline cellulose/sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, Sinespum C (consisting of: Sucrose, sorbitan tristearate, PEG 40 stearate, dimethicone, silicon dioxide and 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol), domiphen bromide, sorbitol (E-420), saccharin sodium, xanthan gum, orange flavouring and purified water.
Pharmaceutical advice
It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids during treatment to facilitate the action of this medicinal product.
Avoid chronic use of this medicine. In cases of chronic constipation of non-organic origin, improvement can be achieved by following the following guidelines: a fibre-rich diet, adequate water intake, physical exercise and regulation of defecation habits.
If symptoms persist for 7 days or if the patient's condition worsens, seek medical advice.
