The active ingredient in Vilardell Glycerine Suppositories is glycerol, a laxative that is administered rectally. Each Vilardell Children's Glycerine Suppositories contains 1,500 mg of glycerol.
It is a medicine in the form of suppositories for rectal administration that are composed of glycerol, an active ingredient with laxative properties that produce a softening of the stool and a slightly irritating local action that stimulates the intestine to facilitate the evacuation of the stool.
It is therefore indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation in children.
It comes in a pack of 12 suppositories.
Intended for use in children from 2 to 12 years of age.
The usual dose is 1 suppository a day, when needed or as directed by your doctor.

Vilardell Glycerine suppositories for children may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, irritation, itching or pain in the anus may occur, although the frequency of occurrence of such effects is unknown.
Each Vilardell Children's Glycerine suppository contains 1,500 mg of glycerol as the active ingredient. Other excipients: sodium stearate.
Before using this medicine, hands should be clean. Then take the suppository and insert it deeply into the rectum, holding the child's buttocks together for as long as possible to suppress evacuation and allow the medicine to work properly.
