Enema for the relief of occasional constipation and to facilitate bowel emptying when necessary.

It is a medicine with laxative properties whose mechanism of action consists of retaining liquid in the intestine, increasing the volume of water in the faeces to facilitate their elimination.
It is administered rectally and is used to relieve occasional constipation.
It is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
The recommended dose is 1 single-dose container per day, administered rectally.
Once the cap has been removed, the container should be pressed lightly to lubricate the cannula and thus facilitate its application. The contents of the container should be emptied completely and, while continuing to press, carefully removed and discarded, as it is for single use only.
Do not use Clisteran Enema:
In children under 12 years of age.
If you are allergic to any of the components of this medicine or any derivative of them.
If you suffer from acute haemorrhoids.
If you have haemorrhagic colitis.
If there is rectal bleeding or if there is no bowel movement within 15-30 minutes after using Clisteran, you may have a serious problem.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
As with all medicines, Clisteran may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In particular, the following have been observed:

anal irritation
anal itching
allergic reactions (urticaria).
The active ingredients of Clisteran enema are trisodium citrate dihydrate and sodium lauryl sulphoacetate. Specifically, each 5 ml container contains: 450 mg trisodium citrate dihydrate and 45 mg sodium lauryl sulphoacetate. - The other ingredients (excipients) are: sorbitol (E-420), carmellose sodium, glycerol (E-422), sorbic acid (E-200), purified water, silicon defoamer (purified water, dimethicone (E-900), sorbitan stearate (E-491), sorbitan stearate (E-491), silicon antifoam (purified water, dimethicone (E-900), sorbitan stearate (E-491).n stearate (E-491), polysorbate 60 (E-435), anhydrous colloidal silica (E-551) and benzoic acid (E210)).
Before inserting the Clisteran enema, it is advisable to lie on your left side, with your knees bent and your arms at rest. In addition, lubricate the cannula with a few drops of the product itself to facilitate administration.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, as they may interact with each other.
If after 6 days the symptoms do not improve or worsen, consult your doctor.
