Cenat Granulate 400 gr

It is a laxative medicine that acts as an intestinal regulator, increasing the volume of the stool and facilitating its evacuation.

It is used to relieve the symptoms of habitual chronic constipation, episodes of alternating constipation and diarrhoea (Crohn's disease, diverticulosis), proctologic processes such as haemorrhoids, fissures, as it facilitates the passage of stools.It facilitates the evacuation of faeces, reducing pain, and to supplement fibre intake when intake is insufficient (slimming diets or metabolic disorders).

Suitable for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.

It is administered orally and cannot be chewed or dissolved. It should be taken with plenty of liquid. The daily dose varies according to the age of the patient.

• From 12 years of age: administer two dessert spoonfuls after dinner, if necessary a dessert spoonful could be added at breakfast.

• Children aged 6-12 years: half the dose as for adults.

Do not use Cenat Granulate:

• In children under 12 years of age without medical supervision.

• Do not use this medicine if you suffer from abdominal pain without knowing the cause, as well as if you suffer from narrowing of the digestive tract or intestinal obstruction.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Like all medicines, Cenat may cause side effects:

• Common adverse reactions: gas (at the beginning of treatment), abdominal pain and spasms, reddish-blond urine colouring, allergies, abdominal or oesophageal obstruction (if swallowed with little liquid).

The active ingredients of Cenat Granules are: Plantago ovata seeds, Plantago ovata (Ispaghula Husk) seed cuticles.

The other ingredients are: Carum carvi essential oil; Salvia officinalis essential oil; Peppermint essential oil; Gum arabic; Talc; Iron oxide yellow (E-172); Iron oxide red (E-172); Titanium dioxide (E-171); Paraffin wax solid; Paraffin wax liquid; Sucrose.

This is an oral medicine that should be taken with a sufficient amount of water to avoid blockages. It is generally taken after meals, except in the treatment of obesity, which should be taken half an hour before.
