Syrup with expectorant action to facilitate the expulsion of mucus in colds and flus.

It is a medicine formulated with pseudoephrine, an active ingredient that works as a nasal decongestant, and guafenesin, which has an expectorant action to help eliminate mucus.
Its use is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion and to facilitate the expulsion of mucus in catarrhal and flu-like processes.
Suitable for use in children from 7 to 12 years of age.
Take 5 ml every 8 hours.
Do not use Respidina Expectorant Junior in children under 7 years of age is contraindicated.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to pseudoephedrine or to any of the ingredients, if you suffer from heart disease or if you have suffered bleeding episodes, if you have difficulty urinating, if you suffer from hyperthyroidism, hypertension or kidney disease.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: This medicine cannot be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Do not take this medicine with orange or grapefruit juice because it may cause a hypertensive crisis.
It tests positive for doping in sportsmen's tests.
This medicine contains sucrose (special care in diabetes mellitus), orange yellow (may cause asthma), methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (may cause allergic reactions) and sodium (special care in hypertension).
Like all medicines, Respidina expectorant syrup may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: nervousness, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, tremor.
Very frequent adverse reactions: nightmares, hyperactivity, vertigo and headache.
The active ingredients of Respidina Expectorant Junior are pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and guaifenesin. Each ml of oral solution contains 6 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 20 mg guaifenesin.
The other ingredients are: glycerol (E-422), sucrose, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-216), orange yellow S (E-110), quinoline yellow (E-104), banana flavouring, saccharin sodium (E-954) and purified water.
This medicine comes in a bottle with a clear, yellow, banana-flavoured solution that can be taken with or without food.
