Cinfamucol Acetylcysteine 200 mg 20 sachets

It is an orange-flavoured medicine in sachet form, formulated with 200 mg of acetylcysteine, an active ingredient indicated for treating thick mucus, helping to facilitate its expulsion in flu-like processes and colds.

It comes in a practical pack with 20 sachets inside.

Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Dilute 1 sachet in half a glass of water and swallow, without exceeding the maximum dose of 3 times (600 mg) a day.

Do not use Cinfamucol acetylcysteine sachets:

• In children under 12 years of age.

• In case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this medicine.

• In parallel with other cough suppressant medicines.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

• Caution with antibiotics such as amphotericin B, ampicillin sodium, cephalosporins, erythromycin lactobionate or some tetracyclines. They may be incompatible or inactivated. It is recommended to separate intakes by at least 2 hours.

• Medical supervision in patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency, bronchospasm, respiratory failure, anaemia, gastroduodenal ulcer.

• Consult your doctor in patients under treatment with nitroglycerin.

Cinfamucol Acetylcysteine sachets may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, frequent gastrointestinal adverse reactions have been observed.

Each sachet of Cinfamucol contains 200 mg of acetylcysteine as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Aspartame (E-951), orange flavouring (flavouring preparations, flavouring substances, natural flavouring substances, maize maltodextrin, gum arabic(E-414), ascorbic acid (E-300) and butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) (E-320)), Yellow-orange colouring S (E-110), Mannitol (E-421), Colloidal anhydrous silica (E-421), Anhydrous colloidal silica (E-421)).

For correct administration of the medicine, place the contents of the sachet in a glass of water and wait until completely dissolved before swallowing.

It is recommended to take it in the morning, and to drink plenty of water during the day, in order to hydrate mucous membranes and fluidify mucus, facilitating its outflow.

Do not drink alcohol during treatment.
