Syrup indicated for the relief of productive coughs, reducing phlegm and facilitating its expulsion.

It is a medicine containing guaifenesin, which reduces the viscosity of mucous secretions to facilitate their expulsion. It is therefore widely used for colds and flu.
Adults and children from 2 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Children from 2 to 5 years: 7.5ml every 4 hours, under medical supervision.
Children from 6 to 12 years: 15 ml every 4 hours if necessary.
From 12 years of age: 30 ml every 4 hours if necessary.
Do not use Farline Frispec in children under 2 years of age.
Consult your doctor before taking this medicine: if you have liver disease, kidney disease or if you are asthmatic.
This medicine contains sucrose. Consult your doctor if you are intolerant to certain sugars and methyl parahydroxybenzoate, which causes allergic reactions.
Like all medicines, Frispec syrup may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: skin rash and itching.
Very common side effects: vomiting, diarrhoea and nausea.
The active substance in Frispec syrup is guaifenesin. Each ml of syrup contains 6.5 mg of guaifenesin. The other excipients are: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), aniseed essence, pine essence, sodium benzoate (E-211), sucrose, glycerol (E-422), saccharin sodium and purified water.
Frispec syrup comes in a 150 ml bottle with a measuring cup. It is an almost colourless solution with a pleasant aniseed scent.
Do not take more than the quantity indicated on this leaflet. If symptoms do not improve after 5 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
