Apotex Ambroxol 15 Mg/ ml Efg Syrup 200 ml

Apotex Ambroxol Syrup is a medicinal syrup formulated to treat upper respiratory tract conditions involving the production and excessive secretion of mucus, associated with colds and flus.

Intended for use in adults and children from 2 years of age.

The recommended daily dose varies according to the age of the patient:

• Children aged 2 to 5 years: 2.5 ml every 12 hours (twice a day).

• Children 6 to 12 years of age: 5 ml every 12 hours (twice a day).

• From 12 years of age: 10 ml every 8 hours (3 times a day).

Do not use Apotex Ambroxol:

• In children under 2 years of age.

• In case of hypersensitivity to any of the components present in this medicinal product.

• In patients taking antibiotics such as amoxicline, cefuroxime, erythromycin and doxycycline.

• In patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, asthma or respiratory insufficiency, renal or hepatic insufficiency, without medical supervision.

• If you are pregnant.

Apotex Ambroxol Syrup may cause side effects, as with other medicines. In particular, the following common adverse reactions have been observed: dysgeusia, pharyngeal hypoaesthesia, nausea and oral hypoaesthesia.

Each ml of syrup contains 3 mg of Ambroxol Hydrochloride as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Raspberry flavouring, Citric acid monohydrate, Glycerol (E-422), Hydroxyethylcellulose, Benzoic acid (E-210), Propylene glycol (E-1520), Sorbitol (E-420) 70%, Saccharin sodium, Purified water.

For correct administration of the medicinal product, use the measuring device and wash after each use. Then drink a glass of water immediately after each use.

It is also recommended to drink plenty of water during the treatment, in order to hydrate the mucous membranes and fluidify the mucus to facilitate its outflow.

Once opened, the product will remain stable for a maximum of 4 weeks. Once this time has elapsed, discard.

If there is no improvement within 5 days or if symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
