Stada Acetylcysteine Efg 600 mg 20 effervescent tablets

It is a medicine in the form of effervescent tablets specially formulated for the treatment of thick mucus, facilitating its expulsion in flu-like processes and colds.

Intended for use in adults.

Take 1 tablet every 24 hours (once a day).

Do not use Acetylcysteine STADA:

• In children under 18 years of age.

• In patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active substances and/or excipients listed in the composition of this medicinal product.

• In parallel with other cough suppressant medicines.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

• Caution with antibiotics such as amphotericin B, ampicillin sodium, cephalosporins, erythromycin lactobionate or some tetracyclines. They may be incompatible or inactivated. It is recommended to separate intakes by at least 2 hours.

• Medical supervision in patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency, bronchospasm, respiratory failure, anaemia, gastroduodenal ulcer.

• Consult your doctor in patients under treatment with nitroglycerin.

Acetylcysteine STADA may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, frequent adverse reactions of a gastrointestinal nature have been observed.

Each effervescent tablet contains 600 mg acetylcysteine as the main active substance. The other excipients are: citric acid anhydrous (E-330), sodium hydrogencarbonate, sodium carbonate anhydrous, mannitol, lactose anhydrous, ascorbic acid, socio cyclamate, sodium saccharin dihydrate, sodium citrate dihydrate, blackberry flavour "B" (contains sorbitol).

For correct administration of the medicine, place the effervescent tablet in a glass of water and swallow once dissolved.

The best time to take it is in the morning. It is recommended to drink plenty of water to hydrate mucous membranes and fluidify the mucus to facilitate its exit.

Do not drink alcohol during treatment.
