Ambroxol Cinfa Syrup is a medicated syrup indicated to treat upper respiratory tract disorders that involve the production and excessive secretion of mucus and are associated with colds and flus.
Intended for use in children between the ages of 2 and 12 years.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Children aged 2 to 5 years: 2.5 ml every 8 hours (3 times a day).
Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 ml every 8 hours (3 times a day).
Do not use Ambroxol syrup:
In children under 2 years of age and over 12 years of age, for whom there are other more suitable medicines.
In case of hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients and/or excipients listed in the composition of this medicine.
If you are taking antibiotics such as amoxicline, cefuroxime, erythromycin and doxycycline.
In patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, asthma or respiratory insufficiency, consult your doctor.
In patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, without medical supervision.
If you are pregnant.
Cinfa Ambroxol syrup may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, the following common adverse reactions have been observed: dysgeusia, pharyngeal hypoaesthesia, nausea and oral hypoaesthesia.
Each ml of Ambroxol Syrup contains 3 mg of Ambroxol Hydrochloride as the main active substance. The other excipients are:Citric acid monohydrate, Glycerol (E-422), Hydroxyethylcellulose, Benzoic acid (E-210), Propylene glycol (E-1520), Sorbitol liquefier (E-1520), Sorbitol liquefier (E-422).(contains glucose syrup, propylene glycol (E-1520) and benzyl alcohol (E-1519)), Purified water.
For correct administration of the medicine, use the measuring device and wash after each dose. It is recommended to drink a glass of water immediately after each dose and to stay hydrated throughout the day to moisturise the mucous membranes and thin the mucus.
Once opened, this product is stable for up to 4 weeks. Once this time has elapsed, discard.
If there is no improvement within 5 days or if symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
