This medicine belongs to the mucolytic family, as it deconstructs the mesh that makes up mucus, reducing its viscosity, making it more fluid and facilitating its elimination from the body. This is why it is a drug widely used in the treatment of colds or flus accompanied by phlegm.

Formulated for use in adults over 18 years of age.
Take 1 tablet a day in a little water, dissolving it and waiting for the effervescence to finish. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 1 tablet every 24 hours.
Do not take Sandoz Acetylcysteine:
In children under 18 years of age.
In case of allergy to acetylcysteine or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
If you suffer from gastroduodenal or peptic ulcer, asthma or any type of respiratory insufficiency.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, except on medical advice.
Acetylcysteine Sandoz may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that all people will suffer from them. These include: hypersensitivity, headache, ringing in the ears, tachycardia, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomatitis, abdominal pain, nausea, skin rash, angioedema, pruritus, increased body temperature, hypotension and urticaria. Also may occur:
Drowsiness, bronchospasm, digestive discomfort and respiratory distress.
Allergic reactions, anaphylactic shock, haemorrhage, severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Lyell's syndrome.
Swelling of the face.
Each sachet contains 600 mg acetylcysteine. The other excipients are: anhydrous lactose, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium saccharin dihydrate, sodium citrate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, sodium cyclamate, mannitol (E-421, blackberry flavour (contains sorbitol and mannitol (E-421)) and anhydrous citric acid and ascorbic acid.
