Cinfamucol Carbocisteine 50 mg/ ml Oral Solution 200 ml

It is a medicine in the form of an oral solution indicated for the treatment of upper respiratory tract disorders associated with colds and flus, which involve the production and excessive secretion of mucus.

Intended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.

Take 15 ml every 8 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 3 intakes per day.

Do not use Cinfamucol Carbocisteine:

• In children under 12 years of age.

• In patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients and/or excipients listed in the composition of this medicinal product.

• In diabetic patients.

• In patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, asthma or respiratory insufficiency, without prior consultation with their doctor.

• In patients with impaired thyroid function, without medical supervision.

• If pregnant.

Cinfamucol Carbocisteine may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, the following common side effects have been observed: stomach upset, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting.

Each ml of Cinfamucol oral solution contains 50 mg Carbocisteine as the main active substance. The other excipients are:Propylene glycol (E-1520), Propyl parahydroxybenzoate (sodium salt) (E-217), Saccharin sodium, Citric acid monohydrate, Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (sodium salt) (E-219), Liquid maltitol (E-965), Citric acid monohydrate, Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (sodium salt) (E-965).(E-965), Orange yellow (E-110), Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium citrate (E-331), Orange flavouring (flavouring preparations, flavouring substances, natural flavouring substances, maize maltodextrin, gum arabic (E-110), Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium citrate (E-331), Orange flavouring (flavouring preparations, flavouring substances, natural flavouring substances, maize maltodextrin)z, gum arabic (E-414), ascorbic acid (E-300) and butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) (E-320)), sodium hydroxide (E-524), purified water.

For correct administration of the medicine, use the measuring cup and wash out after each use. Drink a glass of water immediately after each dose.

Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.

It is advisable to drink plenty of water during the treatment in order to hydrate mucous membranes and thin the mucus, thus making it easier to pass.

Once opened, it will remain stable for a maximum of 4 weeks. Therefore, once this time has elapsed, discard.

If there is no improvement within 5 days or if symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
