It is a medicine containing bromhexine that reduces the viscosity of mucous secretions to facilitate their expulsion. It is widely used for colds and flu.
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.
Take 10 ml every 8 hours without exceeding 6 daily intakes.
Adolescents under 12 years of age are contraindicated.
Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you suffer from liver disease, kidney disease or if you are asthmatic.
This medicine contains liquid maltitol, consult your doctor if you suffer from intolerance to certain sugars and you should be aware that it may produce a slight laxative effect.
Like all medicines, Bisolvon mucolytic syrup may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: rash, bronchospasm and hypersensitivity reactions.
Very common side effects: vomiting, diarrhoea and nausea.
Each ml of Bisolvon mucolytic syrup contains 1.6 milligrams of bromhexine hydrochloride. The other ingredients are: liquid maltitol (E965), benzoic acid (E-210), sucralose, cherry flavouring, chocolate flavouring, levomenthol and purified water.
Bisolvon mucolytic syrup comes in a 200 ml glass bottle with a measuring cup. It is an almost colourless solution with a fruity smell.
