Fluimucil Oral Solution is a medicine indicated for the treatment of thick mucus in colds and flu-like conditions.
It is intended for use in adults.
Measure the amount of medicine to be taken with the measuring cup included in the box, and swallow it directly. It is recommended to drink a glass of water after each dose.
Do not use Fluimucil Oral Solution:
In children under 18 years of age.
In case of hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or to any of the ingredients present in this medicine.
Consult your doctor, patients under treatment with nitroglycerin.
Do not use in parallel with other cough suppressant medicines.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Caution with: antibiotics such as amphotericin B, ampicillin sodium, cephalosporins, erythromycin lactobionate or some tetracyclines. They may be incompatible or inactivated. It is recommended to separate intakes by at least 2 hours.
Medical supervision in: patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency, bronchospasm, respiratory failure, anaemia, gastroduodenal ulcer.
Fluimucil Oral Solution may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, frequent adverse reactions of gastrointestinal nature have been observed.
Each ml of Fluimucil Oral Solution contains 40 mg of acetylcysteine as the main active substance. The other excipients are: methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E216), disodium edetate, carmellose sodium, sorbitol (E420), sodium hydroxide, strawberry flavouring, grenadine flavouring, purified water.
For correct administration of the medicine, use the measuring cup and clean after each dose. Take with a large glass of water.
Drink plenty of water during the treatment to hydrate the mucous membranes and thin the mucus to make it easier to pass.
Do not drink alcohol during treatment.
See a doctor if treatment does not improve within 5 days or if symptoms worsen.
