It is a medicine that belongs to the group of nasal decongestants. Its active ingredient is oxymetazoline, which, when administered nasally, produces an intense vasoconstriction that results in effective nasal decongestion.
Suitable for use in adults and children from 6 years of age.
Apply 1 spray every 12 hours in each nostril.
Do not use Nasolina in children under 6 years of age, as well as special caution in people over 65 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.
This medicine is contraindicated in people who have had head surgery such as cranial, transnasal or transoral surgery.
This medicine contains benzalkonium chloride (special caution in patients with suspected persistent congestion, discontinue treatment and use a medicine that does not contain benzalkonium chloride).
Like all medicines, Nasolin may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: headache, sneezing, nasal itching.
Very common side effects: dependence on the medicine, dizziness, nervousness, palpitations, difficulty falling asleep.
The active substance in Nasolyn is 0.5 mg oxymetazoline (each 0.07 ml injection contains 35 micrograms).
The other ingredients are: Benzyl alcohol. Benzalkonium chloride. Eucalyptol. Thymol. Menthol. Glycine. Poloxamers. Deionised water.
Nasolina nasal nebuliser comes in a 15 ml bottle with applicator.
Before using the bottle, it is advisable to release 2 or 3 sprays into the air to charge the nasal applicator. Remove any existing fluids before applying the medicine.
Always use the lowest effective dose, as this medicine produces dependence.
