Rhinovin Infantil 0.5 mg/ ml Nasal Drops Solution 1 Bottle of 10 ml

It is a medicine formulated with xylometazoline, which when administered nasally produces vasoconstriction of the vessels of the nasal mucosa, reducing inflammation.

It is indicated for the local and temporary relief of nasal congestion.

It comes in a bottle with 10 ml of liquid solution.

Suitable for use in children from 6 years of age.

Apply 1-2 drops in each nostril daily, if necessary it could be applied every 12 hours.

• Do not use Rhinovin Infantil in children under 6 years of age, as well as special caution in children over 65 years of age.

• Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.

• This medicine is contraindicated in people who have had head surgery such as cranial, transnasal or transoral surgery.

• This medicine contains benzalkonium chloride (causes inflammation of the nasal mucosa and may cause persistent congestion).

Like all medicines, Rhinovin Infantil may cause side effects:

• Frequent adverse reactions: nosebleeds.

• Very frequent adverse reactions: drug dependence, dizziness, nervousness, palpitations, drowsiness.

The active substance of Rhinovin Infantil is xylometazoline. Each millilitre of this solution contains 1 mg of xylometazoline and each pulse contains 138 micrograms of xylometazoline hydrochloride.

The other ingredients are: sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, sorbitol (E420), hypromellose, sodium chloride and purified water.

Before use, the bottle should be shaken and turned upside down to remove the first two or three drops before application. Then blow the nose to remove any existing nasal fluids and turn the head back or to the side to improve the entry of the medicated drops through the nostril.

Always use the lowest effective dose, as this medicine can be addictive.

Consult a doctor if there is no improvement after 2 days of use.
