It is a medicine in the form of a mouthwash formulated with bencinamide, a very useful active ingredient due to its anti-inflammatory action. It is therefore used to relieve temporary pain in the throat, mouth or gums.
It comes in a practical 240 ml bottle.
Who it is intended for
Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Dispense 15 ml of mouthwash into the measuring cap and rinse or swish for 30 seconds, without swallowing. Can be diluted in water or used alone.
Do not use Tantum Verde mouthwash in children under 12 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.
Do not eat or drink for 1 hour after use.
This medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and patent blue V, two ingredients that may cause allergic reactions.
Like all medicines, Tantum Verde mouthwash may cause side effects. In this case, the following have been observed:
Frequent adverse reactions: photosensitivity, stinging, dry mouth.
Very frequent adverse reactions: Dizziness, headache, throat irritation, sore throat, headache.
The active ingredient of Tantum Verde mouthwash is benzydamine. Specifically, each millilitre (ml) of solution contains 1,5 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride.
The other ingredients are: saccharin, ethanol 9.9% (v/v), glycerol (E-422), sodium hydrogencarbonate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), polysorbate 20, quinoline yellow (E-104), patent blue V (E-131), peppermint essence and purified water.
Tantum verde mouthwash has a refreshing mint flavour and comes as a greenish solution with a measuring cap.
Do not eat or drink for one hour after applying this medicine.
This medicine is for topical oropharyngeal use only. Therefore, do not swallow.
Do not use for more than 3 days in a row, except on medical advice.
