Pyralvex is a medicine with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that is used to treat canker sores or mouth sores. Its use helps to relieve pain and sensitivity in the area.
Intended for the pain relief of mild inflammatory conditions of the mouth, such as sores and irritations caused by appliances or dentures in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Do not use Pyralvex for sores:
- In children under 12 years of age.
- In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components included in this medicine.
Apply 3 or 4 times a day on the affected areas of the mouth, using the brush.
Pyralvex sores may cause side effects, as with all medicines, which does not mean that everyone will suffer from them. These are:
- Very common: burning at the site of application.
- Frequent: pigmentation of teeth and dentures or of the oral mucosa, which disappears with cleaning and discontinuation of treatment.
- Very rare: hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
- Unknown frequency: urticaria, skin rash.
Pyralvex contains rhubarb extract and salicylic acid as main active ingredients. More specifically, each 100 ml of solution comprises: Rheum officinale (rhubarb) extract 5 g (equivalent to 0.5 g anthraquinone glycosides); salicylic acid 1 g. The other excipients are: ethanol 59,5 % (v/v) and water.
Pyralvex is a medicine formulated with rhubarb extract and salicylic acid for a double antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity in oral conditions, irritations or aphthae, caused by different causes, such as the use of dentures or orthodontics. Its use relieves pain and helps the mucous membranes to resume their physiological function.
It is applied 3 to 4 times a day, preferably with a clean mouth, leaving the product as long as possible in contact with the canker sore for greater effectiveness.
