It is a medicine in the form of a mouthwash that is used for the relief of mild infections of the mouth, such as canker sores, as well as for the treatment of bad breath.
It is composed of benzalkonium chloride, which has a bactericidal action on Gram+ germs, and zinc chloride, which has a deodorising action on the oral cavity.
Suitable for use in adults and children from 7 years of age.
Apply directly to the bleeding area or with a treatment gauze.
Do not use Odamide in children under 7 years of age.
Special care in pregnancy and lactation, you should consult your doctor.
Like all medicines, Odamide may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: None have been described.
The active ingredients of Odamide are: benzalkonium chloride 100 mg, zinc chloride 250 mg.
The other ingredients are: aniseed, cinnamon, clove, peppermint flavourings. Menthol, thymol, methyl salicylate, benzoin, vanillin, citric acid, saccharin, amaranth (E-123), ethanol 48.8% v/v, purified water.
This medicine can be used to treat canker sores by dabbing a small amount of cotton wool. For all other applications, simply dilute one capful of Odamide in 4 capfuls of water and rinse 4 times a day.
