Strepsils Vitamin C 24 Units

It is a medicine in the form of sucking tablets that combines the action of two antiseptics and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and is used for the relief of mild symptoms of infections of the mouth and throat.

Suitable for use by adults and children from 6 years of age.

The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:

• Adults: take 1 tablet every 2-3 hours, not to exceed 8 tablets a day.

• Children from 6 years of age: take 1 tablet every 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 tablets a day.

Do not use Strepsils Vitamin C sweets:

• In children under 6 years of age.
• In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients present in the composition of this medicine.

• Special care during pregnancy and lactation.
• This medicine contains sucrose and glucose (you should consult your doctor if you have an intolerance to some sugars), fragrances containing allergens, sodium (special care in hypertension), ponceau red 4R and orange yellow (may cause allergic reactions), wheat starch (special care in celiac patients) and propylene glycol.

Like all medicines, Strepsils Vitamin C may cause side effects:

• Frequent adverse reactions: irritation of the tongue and/or mouth and allergic reactions such as skin rash or redness.

• Very frequent adverse reactions: Abdominal pain, nausea or mouth discomfort.

The active ingredients of Strepsils Vitamin C tablets are: 0.6 mg amylmethacresol and 1.2 mg 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol. The other excipients are:tartaric acid, orange essence (contains citral, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol, linalool and ethanol), levomenthol, orange yellow S (E-110), Ponceau red 4R (E-124) (contains trace amounts of sodium), propylene glycol (E-1520), sucrose, lithium glucose (contains sodium in trace amounts), propylene glycol (E-1520), sucrose, lithium glucose (contains sodium starch) and sodium hydroxide (contains sodium hydroxide).(contains wheat starch and sulphur dioxide (E-220)).

This medicine comes in the form of orange sucking tablets with a refreshing orange and mint flavour.

This tablet is for oropharyngeal use, so it should be sucked slowly, without chewing or swallowing, to allow the local action of the medicine to contact the affected area.

Do not use this medicine for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
