Tablets for the temporary relief of local symptoms of mild throat infections without fever.
Contains 20 tablets.
It is a medicine that has a dual effect due to its ingredients: antiseptic action due to chlorhexidine and anaesthetic action due to benzocaine.
It is indicated for the treatment of throat infections or inflammations with pain and/or without fever.
Suitable for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Take 1 lozenge every 2 to 3 hours and no more than 8 a day.
Do not use Hibitane Forte Lemon in children under 6 years of age, as they are more sensitive to the use of benzocaine, as well as in people over 65 years of age, who are also not indicated for its use, in addition to the sensitivity because it produces hypertension.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.
This medicine contains sulphur dioxide (may cause allergic reactions), sodium (special care in hypertension), sucrose (special care in diabetes) and butylated hydroxyanisole (may cause skin reactions).
Like all medicines, Hibitane Forte Lemon may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: irritation in the mouth or tip of the tongue, allergic reactions from the use of chlorhexidine or benzocaine.
Very frequent adverse reactions: Oedema (due to fluid retention), hypertension, discolouration of the teeth may occur (this is temporary and is removed by cleaning) and altered taste may occur.
The active ingredients of Hibitane Forte Lemon are: 5mg chlorhexidine dichloride and 5 mg benzocaine.
The other excipients are:Mannitol (E-421), microcrystalline cellulose (E-460), povidone, magnesium stearate, sodium cyclamate, saccharin sodium (E-954), menthol flavouring (contains citronellol, d-limonene, sodium and dioxin sulphur dioxide (E-460)).(contains citral, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol linalool, sodium, sulphur dioxide (E-220), sucrose, and butylated hydroxyanisole (E-320)) and lemon-lime flavouring (contains citral, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol linalool, sodium, sulphur dioxide (E-220), sucrose and butylated hydroxyanisole (E-320)).
Hibitane is a lemon-flavoured lozenge.
Let the tablet dissolve slowly in your mouth, without chewing or swallowing.
Take the minimum number of lozenges to relieve symptoms, in the shortest number of days.
