Indicated in adults for the symptomatic relief of mild mouth and throat infections causing pain but not fever.
Contains 30 tablets.
Bucometasana is a medicine in the form of lozenges that has a dual effect due to its components: antiseptic action due to chlorhexidine together with thyrotricin and anaesthetic action due to benzocaine.
It is indicated for the treatment of infections or inflammations of the throat with pain and without fever.
It comes in a pack of 30 sucking tablets.
Intended for use in adults.
Take 1 tablet every 6-8 hours, not exceeding 4 per day.
It is contraindicated in children, as they are more sensitive to the use of benzocaine, as well as in people over 65 years of age, who are also not indicated for its use, in addition to the sensitivity because it produces hypertension.
This medicine contains aspartame and sorbitol, so its use is not recommended in diabetic patients.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.
Like all medicines, Bucometasana may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: irritation in the mouth or tip of the tongue, allergic reactions due to the use of chlorhexidine or benzocaine.
Very frequent adverse reactions: Oedema (due to fluid retention), hypertension, discolouration of the teeth may occur (this is temporary and is removed by cleaning) and altered taste may occur.
The active ingredients are: chlorhexidine hydrochloride, benzocaine and thyrotricin. Each tablet contains 5 mg chlorhexidine hydrochloride, 15 mg benzocaine and 1 mg thyrotricin.
The other ingredients are: sorbitol (E420), aspartame (E951), colloidal silica, mannitol (E421), magnesium stearate and peppermint flavouring.
Bucometasana is a white, mint-flavoured lozenge. Take the minimum number of lozenges to relieve symptoms in the shortest number of days.
