Strefen Honey and Lemon, 16 Lozenges

It is a medicine formulated with flurbiprofen, an active ingredient that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and is used for the relief of temporary sore throat, irritation or pain on swallowing.

It comes in a pack of 16 sucking tablets.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Take 1 tablet of Strefen Honey and Lemon every 3 to 6 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 5 a day.

Do not use Strefen Honey and Lemon:

• In children under 12 years of age.
• In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components present in this medicine.
• This medicine is contraindicated in patients who have had stomach and intestinal ulcers, as well as in patients suffering from heart, liver or kidney diseases.

• Special caution in patients taking other drugs such as antihypertensives or cardiac drugs, other NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, diclofenac... you should consult your doctor before combining these drugs.
• Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment with Strefen Honey and Lemon, as it may cause stomach and intestinal bleeding.
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding: a doctor should be consulted in advance.
• Contains glucose and sucrose (special care in patients with intolerance to certain sugars), gluten (special care in coeliac patients), fragrances (may cause allergic reactions), sulphur dioxide and butylated hydroxyanisole (may cause allergic reactions).

Strefen honey-lemon tablets may cause side effects, as with all medicines, but this does not mean that all patients will experience side effects:

• Frequent: numbness, drowsiness, blisters in the mouth, burning sensation in the mouth, altered sense of taste.
• Very common: Dizziness, headache, sore throat, sore throat, headaches.

The active ingredient in Strefen Honey and Lemon is flurbiprofen. Specifically, each tablet contains 8.75 mg of flurbiprofen in each tablet. The other excipients are: macrogol 300, potassium hydroxide (E525), lemon flavouring (contains butylated hydroxyanisole (E320)), levomenthol, invert sugar (honey), liquid glucose (contains wheat starch and sulphur dioxide (E220)) and liquid sucrose.

This medicine comes in the form of lozenges that have a yellowish colour and a pleasant honey-lemon flavour.

Put the lozenge in the mouth and let it dissolve slowly in the mouth, as it is a local use medicine. Take the minimum number of lozenges to relieve symptoms in the shortest number of days.

Do not use this treatment for more than 3 days, except on medical advice.
