It is a medicine in the form of lozenges that combines the action of two antiseptics for the relief of temporary symptoms of mild infections of the mouth and throat, which are painful and without fever.
It comes in a pack of 24 strawberry-flavoured lozenges.
Suitable for use in adults and children from 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Adults: take 1 tablet every 2-3 hours without exceeding the maximum of 8 a day.
Children over 6 years of age: take 1 tablet every 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 a day.
Do not use Strepsils Strawberry candies:
Special care during pregnancy and lactation.
This medicine contains isomalt and maltitol, so you should consult your doctor if you have an intolerance to some sugars, propylene glycol, sodium and fragrances containing allergens.
Like all medicines, Strepsils strawberry-flavoured tablets may cause side effects. In this case, the following have been observed:
Frequent: irritation of the tongue and/or mouth and allergic reactions such as skin rash or redness.
Very frequent: abdominal pain, nausea or mouth discomfort.
The active ingredients of Strepsils Strawberry are: 0.6 mg amylmethacresol and 1.2 mg 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol. The other ingredients are: tartaric acid, saccharin sodium (E-954-ii), strawberry flavouring (contains benzyl alcohol and propylene glycol (E-1520)), liquid maltitol (E-965), isomalt (E-953), anthocyanins (E-163).
This medicine comes in the form of sucking tablets with a sweet and pleasant strawberry flavour.
This tablet is for oropharyngeal use, so it should be sucked slowly without chewing or swallowing, so that its local action takes effect on contact with the affected area.
Do not use this medicine for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
