Deratin Complex Honey-Lemon 30 Sucking Tablets

It is a medicine that offers a triple action thanks to the following active ingredients that are present in its composition:

• Antiseptic action due to chlorhexidine.

• Anti-inflammatory action due to enoxolone.

• Anaesthetic action due to benzocaine.

This is why its use is indicated to treat infections or inflammations of the throat with pain and without fever.

Suitable for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.

The recommended dose of Deratin Complex Honey-Lemon varies according to the age of the patient.

• From 12 years of age: 1 tablet every 2 or 3 hours and no more than 8 a day.

• Children over 6 years of age: 1 tablet every 4 or 5 hours and no more than 6 a day.

Do not use Deratin Complex honey-lemon flavour

• In children under 6 years of age, as they are more sensitive to the use of benzocaine.
• In adults over 65 years of age, not only because of sensitivity but also because it produces hypertension.
• In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the components present in this medicine.
• In diabetic patients, due to its composition with sorbitol.
• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding and have not previously consulted your doctor.

As with all medicines, Deratin Complex may cause side effects. This does not mean that all patients will experience them, although in this case they have been observed:

• Frequent: irritation of the mouth or tip of the tongue, allergic reactions from the use of chlorhexidine or benzocaine.

• Very frequent: oedema (due to fluid retention), hypertension, discolouration of the teeth may occur (this is temporary and is eliminated by cleaning) and altered taste may occur.

The active ingredients of Deratin Complex Honey and Lemon are: chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, benzocaine and enoxolone. Each tablet contains 5 mg of chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, 4 mg of benzocaine and 3 mg of enoxolone. The other excipients are: Sorbitol (E-420), polyvidone, saccharin sodium (E-954), magnesium stearate, honey flavouring and lemon flavouring (contains butylated hydroxyanisole (E-320)).

Deratin Complex is a medicine in the form of lozenges with a pleasant honey and lemon flavour.

It is recommended to take the minimum number of tablets to relieve symptoms in the shortest number of days.
