It is a medicine in the form of lozenges that is formulated with benzydamine, an active ingredient with local anti-inflammatory action. It is used for the relief of temporary sore throat, with irritation or pain on swallowing.
It comes in a format of 20 lozenges.
Intended for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Take 1 lozenge every 8 hours and no more than 3 a day.
Do not use Tantum Verde Eucalyptus in children under 6 years of age.
This medicine is contraindicated in patients who have had stomach and intestinal ulcers, as well as in patients suffering from heart, liver or kidney diseases.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.
This medicine contains isomalt (special care in patients with intolerance to certain sugars), eucalyptol oil.
Like all medicines, Tantum Verde may cause side effects. In this case, the following have been observed:
Frequent adverse reactions: numbness, drowsiness, blisters in the mouth, burning sensation in the mouth, altered sense of taste.
Very frequent adverse reactions: Dizziness, headache, throat irritation, sore throat, headaches.
The active substance in Tantum Verde Eucalyptus is benzydamine. Specifically, each lozenge contains 3 mg benzydamine hydrochloride (equivalent to 2.68 mg benzydamine).
The other ingredients are: isomalt (E953), acesulfame potassium, citric acid monohydrate, eucalyptus essential oil, levomenthol, quinoline yellow (E 104), indigotine (E132).
Tantum Verde Eucalyptus Flavour is a dark green lozenge with a refreshing eucalyptus flavour. Simply pop the lozenge in your mouth and let it slowly dissolve in your mouth, without swallowing or chewing, as it is a medicine for oropharyngeal use.
Take the minimum number of tablets to relieve symptoms in the shortest number of days.
Do not use this treatment for more than 3 days, unless prescribed by your doctor.
