Strepsils Sugar Free Lemon, 24 Lozenges

It is a medicine in the form of lemon-flavoured lozenges that combines the action of two antiseptics for the treatment and relief of the temporary symptoms of mild infections of the mouth and throat, which are painful and without fever.

It comes in a pack of 24 tablets.

Intended for use in adults and children from 6 years of age.

The recommended daily dose varies according to the age of the patient.

• Adults: 1 tablet every 2-3 hours, not to exceed 8 tablets daily.

• Children over 6 years of age: 1 tablet every 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 a day.

Do not use Strepsils Lemon tablets:

• In children under 6 years of age.

• In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients present in this medicine.

• Special care during pregnancy and lactation.

• This medicine contains isomalt (you should consult your doctor if you have an intolerance to some sugars), maltitol (may produce a laxative effect), fragrances containing allergens and sodium (special care in hypertension).

As with all medicines, Strepsils lemon flavour may cause side effects:

• Frequent: irritation of the tongue and/or mouth and allergic reactions such as skin rash or redness.

• Very common: abdominal pain, nausea or mouth discomfort.

Each lemon flavoured Strepsils candy contains: 0.6 mg amylmethacresol and 1.2 mg 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol. The other ingredients are: lemon flavouring (contains benzyl alcohol, citral, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol and linalool), saccharin sodium (E-954), tartaric acid, isomalt (E-953) and liquid maltitol (E-965).

These are lemon-flavoured lozenges with a refreshing lemon flavour and a yellowish-white colour.

They are suitable for oropharyngeal use, so they should be sucked slowly, without chewing or swallowing, to allow the local action of this medicine to penetrate the affected area.

Do not use this medicine for more than 3 days in a row without consulting your doctor.
