Angifen is a medicine formulated with flurbiprofen, an active substance belonging to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that is used for the relief of sore or scratchy throat pain.
Intended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.
Take 1 tablet every 3 to 6 hours, dissolving it slowly in the mouth, without swallowing or chewing. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 5 tablets a day.
Do not use Angifen:
In children under 12 years of age.
If you are going to consume alcohol during treatment, as this may cause stomach and intestinal bleeding.
If you are taking other drugs such as antihypertensives or cardiac medicines, other NSAIDs... without prior consultation.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, unless medically recommended.
Angifen may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed:
Frequent: numbness, drowsiness, blisters in the mouth, burning sensation in the mouth, altered sense of taste.
Very common: dizziness, headaches, sore throat, sore throat, headaches.
Each Angifen lozenge contains 8.75 mg flurbiprofen as the main active substance. The other excipients are: sucrose, liquid glucose, macrogol 300 (E-1521), peppermint oil and levomenthol.
This medicine comes in the form of lozenges that have a yellowish colour and a pleasant mint flavour. You should take the minimum number of lozenges that is effective in relieving symptoms in the shortest number of days possible.
Do not use this treatment for more than 3 days, unless your doctor has prescribed it.
