Lemon-flavoured tablets for the symptomatic relief of mild infections of the mouth and throat with pain.
Contains 20 tablets.
Faringesic has a double effect due to its components: antiseptic action due to chlorhexidine and anaesthetic action due to benzocaine.
It is indicated for infections or inflammations of the throat with pain and/or without fever.
Adults and children over 6 years of age.
Take 1 lozenge every 2 or 3 hours and no more than 8 a day.
Children under 6 years of age are contraindicated, as children are more sensitive to the use of benzocaine, as well as those over 65 years of age, whose use is not indicated, in addition to the sensitivity because it produces hypertension.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.
Like all medicines, Faringesic may cause side effects:
Frequent: irritation in the mouth or tip of the tongue, allergic reactions due to the use of chlorhexidine or benzocaine.
Very frequent: oedema (due to fluid retention), hypertension, staining of the teeth may occur (this is temporary and is removed by cleaning) and altered taste may occur.
The active ingredients of Faringesic Lemon Flavour are chlorhexidine dichloride and benzocaine. The other excipients are: sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, polyvidone, magnesium stearate, menthol, lemon flavouring.
Faringesic is a medicine in the form of lozenges with a pleasant lemon flavour. Take the minimum number of lozenges to relieve symptoms in the shortest number of days.
