Orange-flavoured sucking tablets for the treatment of mild mouth and throat conditions.
Contains 20 tablets.
This medicine has a dual effect thanks to its formula: on the one hand, the antiseptic action of chlorhexidine and, on the other, the anaesthetic action of benzocaine.
It is indicated for the relief of infections or inflammations of the throat with pain and/or without fever.
Suitable for adults and children over 6 years of age.
Take 1 lozenge every 2 to 3 hours and no more than 8 a day.
Do not use Hibitane Forte Orange in children under 6 years of age, as they are more sensitive to the use of benzocaine, as well as in people over 65 years of age, who are also not indicated for its use, in addition to the sensitivity because it produces hypertension.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.
This medicine contains sulphur dioxide (may cause allergic reactions), sodium (special care in hypertension), sucrose (special care in diabetes) and butylated hydroxyanisole (may cause skin reactions).
Like all medicines, Hibitane Forte orange flavour may cause side effects:
Frequent: irritation in the mouth or tip of the tongue, allergic reactions from the use of chlorhexidine or benzocaine.
Very common: Oedema (due to fluid retention), hypertension, discolouration of the teeth may occur (this is temporary and is eliminated by cleaning) and altered taste may occur.
The active ingredients of Hibitane Forte Orange are: 5 mg chlorhexidine dichloride and 5 mg benzocaine.
The other ingredients are: mannitol (E-421), microcrystalline cellulose (E-460), povidone magnesium stearate, sodium cyclamate, saccharin sodium (E-954), menthol flavouring (contains citronellol, d-limonene, dio(contains citral, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol, linalool, sodium and sulphur dioxide (E-220) and sodium) and orange flavouring (contains citral, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol, linalool, sodium and sulphur dioxide (E-220)).
Hibitane Forte are lozenges with a pleasant orange flavour. Take the minimum number of lozenges to relieve symptoms in the shortest number of days.
Allow the tablet to dissolve slowly in the mouth, without chewing or swallowing.
