Strepsils Honey and Lemon, 24 Lozenges

It is a medicine in lozenge form that has analgesic and antiseptic action for the local relief of symptoms related to mild infections of the mouth and throat.

Intended for use in adults and children from 6 years of age seeking relief from the symptoms of mouth and throat infections.

Dissolve one lozenge of Strepsils Honey & Lemon slowly in the mouth, without chewing or biting. The recommended daily dose varies according to the age of the patient:

- Adults: take 1 tablet every 2 to 3 hours, without exceeding the maximum of 8 tablets daily.

- Children from 6 years of age: take 1 tablet every 2 or 3 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 4 tablets daily.

Do not use Strepsils Honey and Lemon candies:

- In children under 6 years of age.

- In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to dichlorobenzyl alcohol, amylmethacresol, or any of the other ingredients present in this medicine.

Strepsils Honey Lemon lozenges may cause side effects, as with all medicines, but this does not mean that everyone will experience them. These effects may include:

- Allergic reactions, including: hives, skin rash, angioedema, bronchospasm or hypotension with syncope.

- Gastrointestinal problems such as abdominal pain or nausea.

- Mouth discomfort such as irritation and swelling of the mouth and throat, paraesthesia or glossodynia.

Each sucking tablet of Strepsils Honey Lemon contains 0.6 mg amylmethacresol and 1.2 mg 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol as the main active ingredients. The other excipients are:tartaric acid, quinoline yellow (E-104), lemon essence (contains citral, geraniol, d-limonene and linalool), peppermint essence (contains d-limonene), sucrose, liguid glucose (contains starchy lime starch), linalool (contains d-limonene), linalool and linalool).(contains wheat starch and sulphur dioxide (E-220)), honey (invert sugar).

Strepsils Honey and Lemon candy is an antiseptic medicine formulated to locally relieve infections caused by pathogens that cause mouth or throat pain and irritation.

As it is a product for oropharyngeal use, the ideal is to suck the lozenge slowly until it is completely dissolved, so that the active ingredients can work effectively in the area. In addition, thanks to their pleasant honey and lemon flavour, these lozenges are very pleasant to take.
