It is a medicine with emollient action that is indicated for the symptomatic relief of dry, chapped and irritated skin, as it acts as a skin protector and softener. It can also be used as a lip softener.
For its part, it is used by qualified health personnel as a general lubricant in gynaecological and rectal examinations, as well as for the placement of probes and/or application of dressings.
It comes in a practical 33 g tube.
This is a safe product that can be used in both adults and children. Also during pregnancy and lactation.
Apply a thin layer of product to clean, unbroken skin. It can also be used to moisturise and soften the lips.
In gynaecological and rectal examinations (always by qualified health personnel): apply a thin layer of the product on the area of friction before the examination.
Do not use Vaseline Pure Pege:
On areas with wounds.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to Vaseline.
On the breasts, if you are breastfeeding.
Adverse effects of petroleum jelly are not common, although sensitivity reactions have been observed on rare occasions in susceptible individuals.
Acne problems and inflammatory reactions have also been reported after absorption, caused by improper use of the product.
Pege Pure Sterile Petroleum Jelly contains only pure filant petroleum jelly as the active ingredient, and does not contain any added excipients.
This is a product for topical use and should be stored at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius. Its consistency is creamy and slightly whitish in colour, perfect for soothing dry, irritated or chapped skin, thanks to its emollient action. However, it is recommended to wash hands after use to avoid staining clothes.
It comes in a practical screen-printed aluminium tube in different formats of 5 and 33 grams.
