Zeliderm is a medicine in cream form indicated for the local treatment of the symptoms of acne vulgaris. The cream Zeliderm acts simultaneously against three important factors involved in the acne process: a) excessive sebum secretion, b) clogging of the follicle channel by excess keratin and c) microbial colonisation.
It comes in a 30g tube pack.
Suitable for use in patients with acne vulgaris.
Before each application, it is advisable to wash the area with water and dry it properly. Gently massage a thin layer of Zelidermonto theacne lesions . Wash hands thoroughly after applying the product.
It is recommended to start treatment with one application per day, increasing to two applications per day (morning and evening).
In patients with sensitive skin, treatment should begin with a single daily application in the evenings for the first week, after which it may be applied twice daily. Special attention should be paid to regular use of the product during the entire treatment period.
The duration of treatment will vary individually, and will in any case be determined by the severity of the acne.
Do not use Zeliderm Cream:
Aswith all medicines, Zeliderm may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Very common: itching, stinging, reddening of the skin at the site of application.
Frequent: peeling, dryness, depigmentation (loss of skin colour) at the application site.
Rare: paraesthesia (tingling sensation), dermatitis, oedema at the application site.
Rare: vesicles, eczema, ulcers at the application site.
If discomfort persists, consult your doctor.
This medicinal product is for external use only and contact with the mucous membranes of the eye, nose and mouth should be avoided. In case of accidental contact, wash with plenty of water.
It is advisable to limit as far as possible the use of irritants (detergents, aggressive cosmetics), preparations containing alcohol or other medicines for external use during treatment with this medicinal product, unless medically indicated.
Each gram of Zeliderm cream contains 200 mg azelaic acid (200 mg/g). The other excipients are: propilenglicol (E-1520), alcohol estearílico (21) polioxietilenado, monodiestearato de glicerol, octanoato de cetearilo, alcohol estearí (2) polyoxyethylenestearyl alcohol, glycerol, polyethylene glycol 4000, dimethicone, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), propylparahydroxybenzoate ( E-216) and purified water.
Do not make a double application to make up for missed doses. Continue treatment at the recommended dosage.
