It is a medicine presented in the form of dressings impregnated with an unctuous mass that is used as a healing agent, stimulating blood flow and reducing desiccation in the affected area. As a result, it aids the healing process of both ulcers and wounds.
The gauze comes in a box of 20 medium-sized (9 x 15 cm) single-dose dressings.
It is intended for use by adults over 18 years of age.
Apply the dressing to clean, dry skin in the affected area. It is recommended to apply with a tweezers, previously disinfected with alcohol.
The dressing should be changed every 12 or 24 hours, according to the doctor's instructions.
Do not use Linitul impregnated dressings:
In children under 18 years of age.
In case of allergy to any of the components present in this medicine.
On areas of skin with acne.
In patients with inflammatory dermatosis and on recently developed arterial blood clots.
During pregnancy and lactation, unless prescribed by a doctor.
Linitul impregnated dressings may cause side effects, which is the case with all medicines, but does not mean that everyone will suffer from them. In the case of Linitul, because it contains balsam of Peru, it can cause skin reactions. This active ingredient can cause cross-reactions with Tolu balsam and some essential oils used as flavouring agents on sensitive skin.
It may also cause allergic reactions such as contact dermatitis and a stinging sensation at the application site.
Each gram of mixture impregnated in the dressings contains 18.5 mg of balsam of Peru and 167.8 mg of castor oil as active ingredients. The other excipients are: filmy petroleum jelly, liquid petroleum jelly, beeswax, solid paraffin and tulle.
Linitul dressings are widely used for burns and wounds. They are made of polyester tulle, a fabric known for its flexibility. They can be adapted to all needs thanks to their presentation in different variants and sizes.
It is important not to touch the product with your hands to avoid infection.
