Linitul Dressing is indicated to promote healing of wounds, pressure ulcers and varicose ulcers.
Contains 20 large sized single doses (15 x 25 cm).
It is a medicine in the form of dressings impregnated with an unctuous mass that is used as a healing agent, stimulating the flow of blood and reducing the drying of the affected area. Therefore, its use promotes the healing process of both ulcers and wounds.
The gauze comes in a box of 20 large single-dose dressings (15 x 25 cm).
It is intended for use by adults over 18 years of age.
Apply the dressing to clean, dry skin in the affected area. It is recommended to apply with a tweezers, previously disinfected with alcohol.
The dressing should be changed every 12 or 24 hours, according to the doctor's instructions.
Do not use Linitul impregnated dressings:
In children under 18 years of age, due to lack of studies on the paediatric population.
In case of allergy to the active ingredients or any of the components present in this medicine.
On skin with acne.
If you suffer from inflammatory dermatosis (superficial inflammation of the skin, with redness, moisture, fluid retention, scaling, itching, etc.) and recent arterial blood clots.
During pregnancy and lactation, unless prescribed by a doctor.
Linitul impregnated dressings may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In the case of Linitul, as it contains balsam of Peru, it may cause skin reactions. This active ingredient can cause cross-reactions with Tolu balsam and some essential oils used as flavouring agents on sensitive skin.
It may also cause allergic reactions such as contact dermatitis and a stinging sensation at the application site.
Each gram of mixture impregnated in Linitul dressings contains 18.5 mg of balsam of Peru and 167.8 mg of castor oil as active ingredients. The rest of the excipients are: filmy petroleum jelly, liquid petroleum jelly, beeswax, solid paraffin and tulle.
These dressings are widely used on burns and wounds. They are made of polyester tulle, a fabric known for its flexibility. They can be adapted to all needs thanks to their presentation in different formats and sizes.
It is recommended not to touch the product with your hands to avoid infections.
