It is a medicine with antiseptic action indicated for the treatment of superficial skin wounds and mouthwashes after dental extractions.
It comes in a convenient 250 ml bottle.
Suitable for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
For the treatment of superficial skin wounds, apply directly to the wound with a gauze pad.
For use as a mouthwash after dental extractions, dilute with the same proportion of water and rinse for 1 minute, a maximum of 4 times a day.
Do not use Foret hydrogen peroxide:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy to hydrogen peroxide, as well as to any of the components present in this medicine.
In deep surgical wounds.
As a mouthwash in case of gingival wounds.
Foret Hydrogen Peroxide may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case:
Cases of gas embolism, sometimes causing cardiac arrest, have been reported when hydrogen peroxide has been applied near closed body cavities or in deep surgical wounds.
Hydrogen peroxide in concentrated solutions causes irritating burns to the skin and mucous membranes producing a white scab. The pain disappears after about 1 hour.
Continued use as a mouthwash may cause reversible inflammation of the tongue papillae.
Each 100 ml of Foret Hydrogen Peroxide solution contains 3 g of hydrogen peroxide, which is equivalent to 10 volumes. The other excipients are: phosphoric acid.
This medicine is for external use only. Therefore, do not swallow.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water and consult an ophthalmologist if necessary.
