What is Betadine soap solution and what is it for?

It is a medicine formulated with povidone iodine, an active ingredient with antiseptic properties that is indicated as a soap for the disinfection of small wounds and superficial cuts or grazes.

In hospitals it is used as an antiseptic for the operating field, puncture sites, small wounds, minor burns and surgical material.

It comes in a convenient 125 ml bottle with dropper.

Who it is intended for

Intended for use in adults and children over 1 month of age.

In pregnancy and breastfeeding, the doctor's instructions should be strictly followed, as its use could produce transitory hypothyroidism in foetuses and newborns.

Directions for use

Add a small amount of product to the desired area and rub gently for 2-5 minutes until a rich lather is obtained. Rinse with plenty of water or with a sterile gauze pad soaked in water. Repeat the process 2 or 3 times a day.

For topical use only. Do not ingest and avoid contact with eyes, ears and other mucous membranes.

Contraindications
