Contains 20 gr.
Polaramine is a topical medicine in cream form for the temporary relief of discomfort caused by insect bites, sunburn, itching or skin irritation.
It comes in a handy 20g tube pack.
Suitable for topical use on adults and children over 2 years of age.
Apply a small amount of Polaramine cream 2 to 4 times a day until only the affected area is covered. Wash hands thoroughly after each application.
Do not use Polaramine:
- In children under 2 years of age.
- If you are in the third trimester of pregnancy, as both newborns and premature infants can have severe reactions to antihistamines.
- In case of allergy to dexchlorpheniramine maleate, allantoin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Polaramine cream may cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines. In this case, being a topical antihistamine, it may cause skin rash, dryness and itching. It may also, but less frequently, cause allergic reactions and photosensitivity.
Each gram of Polaramine cream contains 2 mg dexchlorpheniramine maleate and 5 mg allantoin. The other excipients are: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), glycerol (E-422), sorbitol (E-420), liquid paraffin, glycerol monostearate, cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, ethoxylated lanolin alcohol, lavender essence (perfume, diethyl phthalate, dipropylene glycol) and purified water.
Polaramine is a cream formulated with a combination of an antihistamine and a moisturising compound to repair the barrier function of the skin while treating stings, burns and irritation.
Apply a thin layer several times a day, depending on the intensity of discomfort, up to a maximum of four times daily.
