Inistolín Pediatric Antitussive and Decongestive Syrup 120 ml

It is a strawberry-flavoured medicated syrup, intended for the treatment of symptoms of the common cold and flu, which are accompanied by unproductive cough (irritable, nervous) and nasal congestion.

It comes in a 120 ml bottle.

Intended for use in children aged 7 to 12 years.

Take 5 ml of syrup every 8 hours, a maximum of 3 times a day.

Do not use Inistolin Paediatric:

• In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients, as well as to the rest of the excipients present in this medicine.

• If you suffer from asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, hypertension or severe coronary heart disease.

• If you are being treated, or have recently been treated, with MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.

• In case of atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.

Inistolin paediatric may cause side effects, as with all medicines.

• Common: nervousness, restlessness, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, muscle tremor, changes in taste.

Each ml of Inistolin Pediatric syrup contains 2 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide and 6 mg Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 6 mg as the main active ingredients. The other excipients are: Sucrose, Sorbitol (E-420), Sodium Saccharin, Sodium Benzoate (E-211), Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), Strawberry flavouring, Ponceau Red (E-124), Purified Water.

For correct administration of the medicine, use the measuring spoon provided, washing it well after each dose. It is recommended to take it during meals, avoiding grapefruit or orange juice for the duration of the treatment. It is important to drink plenty of water to improve the efficacy of the medicine, as this hydrates the mucous membranes, fluidifying the mucus to make it easier to get rid of.

If it is administered at night, do so a few hours before going to bed to reduce the possibility of insomnia.
