These syrups belong to the paediatric range, so they are specially formulated for use in children between 7 and 12 years of age.

When to use Inistolin Paediatric?

The recommended dose for this medicine is 5 ml every 8 hours (a maximum of 3 times a day) for children between 7 and 12 years of age weighing between approximately 21.5 kg and 43 kg.

Who cannot use it?

Children under 7 years of age cannot use this syrup. Nor can it be used by people over 60 years of age, who may be particularly sensitive to the adverse effects of sympathomimetic amines.

Composition of Inistolin Paediatrics

Both syrups share pseudoephedrine among their ingredients, in addition to the following active ingredients:

  • Inistolin Paediatric Antitussive: each ml contains as active ingredients 6 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 2 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide.
  • Inistolin Paediatric Expectorant: in addition to 6 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, each ml of product contains 20 mg of guaifenesin.
