What is Iniston Antitussive Syrup and what is it for?
It is a heavy medicine for the treatment of symptoms of non-productive (irritative, nervous) cough.
Who is it intended for
Intended for use in people over 12 years of age.
Instructions for use
Take 10 ml of syrup every 4 or 6 hours, depending on the intensity of the cough, not exceeding the maximum recommended dose.
Contraindications
Do not take Iniston Antitussive:
In case of hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients and/or excipients listed in the composition of this medicinal product.
If you suffer from asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, high blood pressure or liver disease.
If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
If you suffer from atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.
In case of pregnancy and breast-feeding, unless a doctor has been consulted.
Side effects
Iniston Antitussive may cause side effects, as with all medicines. These side effects include:
Frequent: drowsiness and dizziness.
Composition
Each ml of Iniston Antitussive syrup 1.5 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Sucrose, Glucose, Peach flavouring (contains Propylene Glycol E-1520 and Ethanol, Caramel T12 (contains invert sugar), Sorbitol (E-420), Glycerol (E-422), Saccharin Sodium, Citric Acid, Citric Acid (contains E-1520 and Ethanol).Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Benzoate (E-211), L-Mentol, Carbomer, Purified Water.

Use the measuring cup supplied with this medicine for correct administration. Wash the measuring cup after each use. It is advisable to drink plenty of water during treatment to keep the mucous membranes hydrated, avoiding taking it with grapefruit or orange juice.
