It is a medicine that works by inhibiting the cough reflex, so it is used for the treatment of nervous or irritative coughs.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
The recommended dosage depends on the age of the patient.
Adults: 15 ml before going to bed, with the possibility of repeating the dose after 6 hours.
Adolescents aged 12 to 18 years: 15 ml every night before going to bed.
Do not use Bucoxon liquorice flavour in children under 2 years of age is contraindicated.
Pregnancy and lactation: under medical supervision.
This medicine contains sorbitol and maltitol, so you should consult your doctor if you have certain intolerances to sugars.
Do not take this medicine with grapefruit juice or bitter orange juice as this may increase the side effects.
Like all medicines, Cinfatosnait syrup may cause side effects:
Frequent: mental confusion, nausea, vomiting, constipation and fatigue.
Very common: dizziness, drowsiness.
The active ingredients of Cinfatósnait are dextromethorphan and diphenhydramine. Each ml contains 1.33 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide and 2 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride.
The other ingredients are:non-crystallisable liquid sorbitol (E-420), liquid maltitol (E-965), glycerol (E-422), sucralose (E-955), orange flavouring, citric acid monohydrate, sodium benzoate (E-211), sodium hydroxide and purified water.
This medicine comes in a 150 ml bottle with a measuring cup and a pleasant orange flavour.
Do not take more than the amount stated on this leaflet.
Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve after 3 days of treatment.
