Intertos 15 Mg, 20 tablets

Medicine in tablet form indicated for the treatment of symptoms of unproductive dry cough (irritable, nervous).

It comes in a practical pack containing 20 tablets.

Intended for use in people over 12 years of age.

The recommended dosage varies according to the patient's needs. Therefore, 1 tablet can be taken every 4 hours (6 times a day) or 2 tablets every 6-8 hours (without exceeding the maximum of 8 tablets a day).

Do not use Intertos:

• In children under 12 years of age.

• In patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients listed in the composition of this medicine.

• In asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory insufficiency, arterial hypertension, liver diseases.

• If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.

• In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.

• In patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.

• During pregnancy and lactation, without prior medical advice.

Intertos Tablets may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Among the possible reactions, the following reactions have been observed frequently: drowsiness and dizziness.

Each Intertos tablet contains 15 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance of this medicinal product. The other excipients are: Microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, magnesium stearate.

The tablets can be swallowed whole, broken or crushed, always with some liquid, preferably a glass of water. Although they can be taken with or without food, they should be avoided with orange or grapefruit juice.

Do not drink any alcoholic beverages during treatment.

If the cough worsens or persists for more than 7 days, or if it is accompanied by high fever, skin rash or persistent headache, consult a doctor.
