Syrup with antitussive action for the treatment of cough symptoms in adults and children from 2 years of age.

It is a medicine in the form of an oral solution indicated for the treatment of symptoms of non-productive or dry (irritative, nervous) cough.
It comes in a convenient 200 ml bottle.
Intended for use in adults and children from 2 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
From 12 years of age: ingest 5-10 ml, according to need every 4 hours (6 times a day).
Children between 6-11 years: give 2.5-5 ml, according to need, every 4 hours (6 times a day).
Children between 2-5 years: administer 1.25-2.5 ml according to need every 4 hours (6 times a day).
Do not use Notus Antitussive:
In children under 2 years of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients and/or excipients listed in the composition of this medicine.
If you suffer from asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, high blood pressure, liver disease.
If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
In patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, except on medical advice.
Teva Notus Antitussive may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, the following common side effects have been observed: drowsiness and dizziness.
Each ml of Teva Notus Antitussive contains 1.5 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Sodium benzoate (E-211), anhydrous citric acid, maltitol (E-965), saccharin sodium, propylene glycol, strawberry and contramarum flavourings, purified water, s.s.
For proper administration of the medicinal product, use the measuring spoon and wash it after each use.
Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.
It is very important to drink plenty of water during treatment to hydrate mucous membranes.
